Our local heroes are called that because they come from here. The bricks, made using the extrusion process, reflect the colours of the region. Our local clay deposits burn into reddish-brown hues, shaping the characteristic brick architecture of the County of Bentheim.
They possess an earthy charm without the addition of salts or engobes. The beauty of the surfaces is created through targeted sintering during the firing process. Distinctive colour tones and natural irregularities give each brick its own identity.
The majority of the raw materials for our local heroes are sourced from our immediate neighbourhood, just a short walk from the brickworks, ensuring minimal transport distances. Naturally, recycled raw materials from production waste and broken bricks are also used (this has been the case for all our products for decades), and the extrusion process has been optimised.
ll of this not only reduces production costs but also the ecological footprint.
