More than 100 guests from the planning, construction, and real estate industries, architecture enthusiasts, builders, innovators, friends, and business partners accepted our invitation to the Architecture Evening on March 6, 2025, at the restored CAPITOL cinema.

The keynote speeches by Michale Van Bergen (Architectura), Jost Westphal (Westphal Architekten), David Korte (GMP), and Dr. Wilko Potgeter (Potgeter + Wefelshütten) impressively demonstrated how much tradition, on the one hand, and how much innovation, on the other, shape our industry.

The topics and discussions made it clear that while we must preserve tradition—whether in craftsmanship, in the sense of "building simply," or perhaps in terms of low-tech approaches—we must also create space for innovation. This applies to smart concepts such as the repurposing of buildings, as well as to the ongoing process of digitalization. In this context, policymakers are particularly called upon to establish meaningful and long-term guidelines.

A big thank you to Prof. Christoph Mäckler for his opening remarks and to Dr. Fabian Peters for his outstanding moderation, which guided us through an insightful evening.

Many thanks also to all our guests. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
